A Street Feast is to take place in Belfast next weekend as part of this year's Culture Night and Day event.

The food and drink event has been planned for the area around St Anne's Cathedral in the city centre next Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21.

Vendors will include Street Dogs Street Food, Born & Raised, Salt and Chillie and Tapitas.

A Cathedral bazaar will also take place.

Susan Picken, Director of the Cathedral Quarter Trust, organisers of Culture Night and Street Feast, said Northern Ireland's food and drink scene "had never been more exciting or important".

"We're delighted to give people a chance to sample and enjoy the finest home grown produce from across the north. We have so much to celebrate when it comes to food and drink and what better setting than Culture Night for the first ever Street Feast," she said

Gary Quate, Food and Drink Experience Development Officer at Tourism NI, said: "Visitors rate the quality of food and drink as an important motivator for travelling and therefore supporting events such as Street Feast is significant to the NI tourism offering."
