Irish Love Island star Maura to replace fellow islander Amber Gill on Dancing on Ice
LOVE Island star Maura Higgins is reportedly set to appear on popular ITV show, Dancing on Ice.
The Longford model, who was one of the Majorcan reality show's most popular contestants this year, is said to be replacing fellow islander, Amber Gill who had initially been due to appear on the dancing show.
Media reports yesterday claimed that ITV bosses had been swayed by a number of public appearances by Maura in recent weeks, including on daily chat show, This Morning, where has taken on the role of resident agony aunt.
Amber, a beauty therapist from Newcastle, won Love Island in July along with partner, Greg O'Shea, a professional rugby player from Limerick.
It was later revealed that she would be appearing on Dancing on Ice, which sees a group of hapless celebrities with little or no skating ability perform complex dance routines on the ice each week.
Maura will not be the first Love Island star to appear on the show.
Kem Cetinay and Wes Nelson have previously featured on the show after finding fame in the Love Island villa.
Kem was eliminated on the ITV show during the semi-finals, while Wes, who appeared on Love Island the following year, finished in second place the following year.
