Car windows smashed with a baton in Newtownards

Police are investigating after car windows were smashed with a baton in Newtownards.

POLICE in Co Down have appealed for information after the windows of a car were smashed in Newtownards.

Police said the vehicle, which was parked outside a property at Whinpark Road in the town, was targeted at around 10.40pm on Monday by "a group of masked people" armed with a baton.

A PSNI spokesman said a window in the property was also damaged.
