POLICE last night issued an appeal for information following the report of a serious sexual assault in Co Antrim.
A PSNI spokeswoman said a female had been attacked in the Inver Road area of Larne on July 17 sometime between 4pm and 4.30pm.
A 17-year-old male youth was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences.
He was later released on bail pending further police enquiries.
Police have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
