A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in west Belfast.
Deaghlan Collins (30) was shot twice in the legs on Springfield Road on July 22 after being chased from outside a fast-food outlet.
Mr Collins had been warned he was under threat from an armed group.
A family member told The Irish News that a passing ambulance, waved down by a member of the public, saved his life by stemming the bleeding from his gunshot wounds and rushing him to the Royal Victoria Hospital.
He was in a critical condition and required emergency surgery, but has since stabilised and is now expected to make a full recovery.
A 39-year-old man arrested by detectives in west Belfast on July 23 was released unconditionally.
