Tiger Woods' girlfriend spends £1,600 in Belfast whiskey shop

AS golfer Tiger Woods last week took to the fairways of Royal Portrush, his girlfriend was in Belfast indulging in some shopping, for whiskey.

Erica Herman (33) visited The Friend At Hand Irish whiskey shop on Hill Street last Wednesday, where she is understood to have spent around £1,600.

Ms Herman, who has been dating the US sportsman since September 2017, bought nine bottles of whiskey during her impromptu visit, including one priced at £365.

During her trip to the unique whiskey off-licence, located along the cobbled streets of the Cathedral Quarter, she also purchased eight bottles of The Friend at Hand's own brand whiskey.

The bottles, which range in price from £55 to £90, are all given different names, including 'Reconciliation', 'Pride not Prejudice' and 'Eighth Wonder', which is accompanied by an image of the famous Giant's Causeway.

Ms Herman, who managed her 43-year-old boyfriend’s pop-up restaurant The Woods, signed the visitors book in the store during his visit. Her signature is also accompanied by that of Erin Walker, understood to be the wife of American golfer Jimmy Walker.

Woods, who has won 15 Major titles during his career, was not believed to be with Ms Herman during the trip to Belfast.

He is understood to have been making final preparations ahead of the first day of competition at The Open at Royal Portrush.
