THE eldest son of leading dissident republican Colin Duffy has been killed in a road crash.

Séanna Duffy from Lurgan, Co Armagh, was travelling in a silver Ford Focus that came into collision with a tanker lorry on the outskirts of Lisburn, Co Antrim.

It happened at the Comber Road junction of the Saintfield Road roundabout at around 10.20am on Sunday.

The 19-year-old eldest son of Colin Duffy and his wife Martine is survived by his three sisters and two brothers.

Police urged anyone who was travelling on Saintfield Road towards Temple to come forward.
