Hijackers force man to drive them to Bangor

Hijackers forced a man to drive them to a Bangor housing estate on the Eleventh Night

THREE hijackers, one armed with a knife, forced a man to drive them to Bangor, Co Down.

Police said the man was driving towards the junction of Blenheim Drive and Comber Road in Newtownards at around 11.30pm on Thursday when the three men approached his car.

One of the men, who had a knife, ordered the motorist to drive them to Bangor.

The hijackers later got out of the car near Rathgill estate.

The driver of the car was not injured but was left very badly shaken.

Police appealed to anyone with information to contact them on 101.
