Man due in court after stabbing

Police said the man is due in court today

A 30-year-old man is due to appear in court in Belfast today after a man was stabbed in the city.

The victim, who is in his twenties, was assaulted in the Grand Parade area on Friday night.

He suffered stab wounds to his body and an injury to his face and remained in hospital yesterday.

Police said the man has been charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
