Man armed with sword threatens woman in Co Antrim burglary

A WOMAN in her sixties was left "very shocked" after a man armed with a sword entered her Co Antrim home and demanded car keys and money.

Police said the victim was targeted in the Upper Ballyboley Road area of Ballyclare at around 1am on Friday.

The car, a blue Peugeot 106, was found burnt out a short distance down the road.

Police arrested a 20-year-old-man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and theft, aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to the vehicle and driving while disqualified.

He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
