A HOSPITAL trust has said it is investigating how a picture of terminally ill loyalist campaigner Willie Frazer - that appears to have been taken in hospital without his permission - was posted online.

The Southern health trust said it is aware of an image being shared online of the victims' campaigner in a hospital bed.

Mr Frazer is currently receiving treatment in Craigavon Area Hospital.

Ulster Unionist MLA Doug Beattie made an official complaint about the picture saying it was "a terrible invasion of his privacy".

"It was very clear that this picture had been taken without his permission," he added.

The Southern trust said: "We are looking into this matter.

"To protect the confidentiality and dignity of our patients, we have a policy which states that any photograph of a patient is not allowed to be taken without the prior permission of the trust."
