THREE people questioned by police investigating the murder of a man in his Co Antrim home have been released on bail.

The two men and one woman were all been arrested after the body of Paul Smyth was found in his home in Lisburn on Friday.

The 50-year-old was discovered in the living-room of his house in Coulson Avenue shortly before 9pm.

It is understood that Mr Smyth's body was found after a supermarket delivery man had been unable to gain access to his home.

Police confirmed on Sunday that he had been shot.

A PSNI spokesman later said that two men, aged 28 and 32, and a 28-year-old woman had been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 49-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday, had also been previously released unconditionally.

The PSNI carried out two searches and a number of items were taken away to be examined.

Police are understood to be following a "clear line of enquiry".

Tributes have been paid to Mr Smyth following his death.

One friend told Q Radio: "We grew up with him, him and his sister, he was a good wee soul. He would have done anything for you."

Another said: "He was one of the kindest men you would ever meet, he would have done anything for you. A kind-hearted soul, just didn't deserved what happened to him".
