Garda appeal after man 'racially abuses' family on Belfast-Dublin train

GARDAÍ are investigating following a report that a man racially abused a family on a train travelling from Belfast to Dublin.

The incident is reported to have happened while the family were travelling on the 7.05pm train from Belfast to Dublin on Sunday June 9.

In Dundalk at about 8.15pm, the train was boarded by a man who it is alleged then began racially abusing the family.

Gardaí appealed for witnesses and asked that anyone with information about the incident contact Dundalk Garda Station.

Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who may have mobile phone footage of the incident or a voice recording.
