Two men arrested on Wwednesday by police investigating the disappearance of Co Down man Pat McCormick have been released on bail.

The men, aged 20 and 39, were being questioned on suspicion of assisting offenders and perverting the course of justice.

Police said this morning the men have now been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Pat (William) McCormick (55), a father-of-four, was last seen in Comber on Thursday May 30.

Two people were arrested on Monday in the Comber area - a 26-year-old man on suspicion of kidnapping and a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of kidnapping and perverting the course of justice.

They were both subsequently rearrested that evening on suspicion of murder but were later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police have released CCTV footage showing the last known sighting of Mr McCormick.

He left his parents' house in Ballynahinch just after 9pm on May 30 and cameras captured him driving his black Citroen C4, registration BSZ 7103, along Castle Street in Comber at around 10.30pm.

He parked the car on High Street and was seen walking down Castle Street at around 10.45pm under an archway which leads to some flats.

Mr McCormick was last seen wearing a beige jacket, blue jeans and brown brogues. He had short dark brown hair, was 5'3" and of medium build.

One of his children, Myles McCormick, wrote that his family have been left devastated by the suspected murder.

"All we want is him to be found!! We just want closure now. Cruel cruel world we live in - remember to call 101 with any information."
