A MAN was arrested in England yesterday in connection with the murder of Jim Donegan in west Belfast.

The PSNI’s Major Investigation Team detained the 48-year-old.

Mr Donegan (43) was sitting in his car waiting to pick up his son from school on the Glen Road last December when he was shot dead.

Detective Chief Inspector Pete Montgomery said: "The man is currently in police custody in England assisting with our enquiries.

"I would continue to urge anyone who has any information, or who witnessed the murder, to contact the police on 101."

Police have previously said they believe the killing is linked to the INLA.
