Belfast jeweller is giving away £1,000

A Belfast jeweller will give away £1,000 worth of jewellery to the first customer to crack a combination lock code.

Beaverbrooks, which is marking its100th anniversary, is locking a £1,000 Beaverbrooks Gift Card within a suitcase in the Donegall Place store, with a combination lock for shoppers to attempt to guess.

The giveaway will take place on Tuesday 21 May from 4:00pm-6:30pm.

The Beaverbrooks story began in Belfast in 1919, when three Adlestone brothers moved to the city and sold silverware from a suitcase. One year later, the brothers swapped a suitcase for a store, as they opened their first ‘Adlestones’ store in Belfast, which would later become Beaverbrooks.

Beaverbrooks’ chairman, Mark Adlestone is a third-generation family member of the Adlestones.

The jewellery retailer, which officially turns 100 on Saturday 25th May, will also be sharing its birthday celebrations by handing out a £100 Beaverbrooks Gift Card to one shopper celebrating their birthday on the same day.
