Two men charged over rioting in Derry on night of Lyra McKee murder

TWO men have been charged over a riot in Derry on the night journalist Lyra McKee was murdered.

A 51-year-old has been charged with rioting, petrol bomb offences and arson of a hijacked vehicle.

A 38-year-old man has been charged with rioting, petrol bomb offences and the arson and hijacking of a tipper truck.

Both men are due to appear before Derry Magistrates' Court today.

A 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man who were also arrested have been released without charge.

Ms McKee was shot dead by dissident republican group the 'New IRA' during rioting in the Creggan area of Derry last month.
