FOUR men have been charged in connection with a spate of burglaries across Belfast.

It is understood that the charges relate to five burglaries in different parts of the city within a six-hour period on Friday.

Properties in the Bawnmore Road, Strangford Avenue, Glengoland Gardens, Deramore Park South and Riverdale Park South areas were targeted between 3.50pm and 8.20pm.

Two 17-year-olds and two men aged 32 and 33, were arrested after officers stopped a car in the Donegall Road area of south Belfast on Friday night.

They have been charged with a number of offences including burglary and attempted burglary and are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning.
