IRELAND'S largest water sport, activity and accommodation resort is to reopen permanently today following a £4 million investment, creating 100 jobs.

Let's Go Hydro, which is based at Knockbracken Reservoir in Carryduff, opened as a pop-up last summer, attracting more than 50,000 visitors in a four-month period.

Due to the success last year, Pete Boyle, CEO of Let's Go Hydro, invested heavily in the resort to open it on a permanent basis, significantly improving and doubling the size of the water park.

Additional accommodation includes a safari lodge, a house boat, a floating lake pod and luxury camping pods as well as updated changing facilities and woodland walks.

Further developments to be made later this year include a luxury leisure beach situated next to the inflatable water park course.

Other water-based activities available at the site will include aqua rugby, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding.

Pete Boyle said the resort was the "first of its kind in Northern Ireland and we’ve invested heavily in the site to bring it up to international standards".

"The site offers a unique and thrilling experience for both locals and international visitors as well as corporate organisations and I’m positive it will be a very welcome addition to the Northern Ireland marketplace," he said.

"We will be continuing to evolve and invest in the site over the course of the year to ensure Let’s Go Hydro is providing the best customer experience possible."
