Woman returned for trial on cocaine and cannabis charges

A WOMAN from Armagh has been returned for trial on drugs charges alleged to involve cocaine and cannabis.

Lauren Isobell Simms (26) from Ardmore Drive, appeared at Armagh Magistrates Court on five charges relating to the alleged possession of and intent to supply drugs on 16 January 2018.

The court was told Simms allegedly had unlawful possession of cocaine, cannabis resin and herbal cannabis, as well as intending to supply both types of cannabis.

A lawyer appearing on behalf of the prosecution said there is a case to answer, which was agreed by District Judge Rosemary Watters.

Bail was set at £500 and Simms was ordered to appear for arraignment at Newry Crown Court next month.
