Police seek information on woman as part of alleged rape and attempted murder inquiry

POLICE investigating an alleged rape and attempted murder in Derry on Sunday want to hear from anyone who may have seen a woman in the city.

She was dressed in a green coat with fur trim on the hood, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms with three white stripes on the legs and white trainers.

Anyone who saw the woman in the Northland Road or Springtown Road areas in the early hours of Sunday morning is asked to contact detectives in Larne on 101 quoting reference number 242 07/04/19.

A 27-year-old man has already been charged in relation to the incident and appeared at court earlier this week.
