A 42-YEAR-OLD man has been charged over several burglaries at a monastery in Portglenone, Co Antrim.

Detectives in Ballymena have been investigating a number of burglaries at the monastery on Ballymena Road.

The 42-year-old has been charged with three counts of burglary and one of attempted burglary.

He is due to appear today at Coleraine Magistrates Court.
