TWO people arrested by police investigating the murder of Ian Ogle have been reported to prosecutors accused of "assisting an offender and withholding information".

The 36-year-old woman and 31-year-old man have been referred to the Public Prosecution Service, police said yesterday.

Mr Ogle (45) was stabbed and beaten close to his home at Cluan Place in east Belfast on January 27.

Two men have been charged with his murder.

PSNI detective chief inspector Peter McKenna made a further appeal for information over the "horrific" killing.

"Ian Ogle was subjected to a brutal attack and his family deserve justice," he said.

He urged anyone with information to phone police on 101 quoting reference 1303 27/1/19, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
