THE 17-year-old girl whose body was found in the grounds of Belfast City Hospital has been named as Tara Wright.
Police believe the teenager had been injured in a car crash five miles away and driven to the hospital in a second vehicle.
She was discovered inside a grey MG car on hospital grounds at around 3am yesterday.
At around 2.30am a silver Mercedes was found on its roof in undergrowth beside Ballygowan Road, near the junction with Manse Road in Catlereagh.
Four men arrested yesterday, aged 20, 21, 28 and 30, have been released on police bail.
An injured man was taken to hospital from the scene of the Castlereagh crash.
PSNI Inspector Nigel Henry has appealed for anyone who saw the silver Mercedes or the grey MG in the early hours of Sunday to contact police.
"Our investigation is at an early stage, however, we do believe that Tara was injured during the one-vehicle road traffic collision on the Ballygowan Road," Inspector Henry said.
"We also believe that a grey coloured MG vehicle conveyed Tara to the area of Belfast City Hospital therefore we are also appealing to anyone who witnessed this vehicle between the Ballygowan Road and the Hospital to contact police."
He also appealed for anyone with dash-cam footage of either vehicle taken in the early hours of Sunday morning to get in touch.
Inspector Henry extended his sympathies to Tara's family.
