An inquest into the sudden death of a Newry schoolboy was adjourned yesterday due to new information before the coroner’s court.

Former Abbey Grammar student Johnny Shields was pronounced dead at Daisy Hill hospital on November 11, 2017 from penetrating head injuries.

"Unfortunately following discussions I will not be able to proceed today," said Ms Anderson.

"Further information in to the case has been brought forward yesterday at the last minute

"In the interests of the family, the courts and everyone I will adjourn the case."
