Woman has car stolen after being flagged down to help man lying on road in Antrim

Police are investigating the theft

A WOMAN has had her car stolen after being flagged down to help a man lying at the side of the road.

She was driving her blue Vauxhall Corsa along the Oldstone Road in Antrim on Sunday at around 11pm when she stopped to help the man.

PSNI Inspector Patrick Mullan said: "A second male was lying to the side of the road, and fearing for his safety, the woman stopped her car and got out to offer assistance.

"The males then pushed the woman out of the way and made off in her car in the direction of Moira.

"The blue Corsa has not yet been recovered and the woman was left very shaken but not physically injured by the incident."

Police have appealed for information.
