Former BBC NI broadcaster Michael Baguley dies aged 89
FORMER BBC Northern Ireland broadcaster Michael Baguley has died aged 89.
A news and current affairs presenter during the 1960s and 1970s, he passed away on February 8.
Mr Baguley was a newsreader on the BBC's inaugural regional broadcast from Broadcasting House in Belfast on September 30 1957.
He also presented the main evening news programme and was a community announcer.
Mr Baguley was also at the helm of TV news magazine programme Town and Around and the popular radio show Two-Way Family Favourites.
His funeral is due to take place at Roselawn Crematorium on Tuesday at 11am.
