TWO women were assaulted and a petrol bomb was thrown at a house in Co Armagh on Sunday night.

Police said they received a report that two women entered a property at Headington Manor in Lurgan around 7.30pm and "it was reported two women, both aged in their 20s, were assaulted".

One suffered facial injuries and the other minor leg injuries.

It was then reported that around five masked men attempted to force their way into the house at around 8.40pm.

A petrol bomb was also thrown at the property, causing scorch damage to the front windows.

Further damage was also caused to the windows and a car parked outside.

Police appealed to anyone who was in the area around the time or who saw any suspicious activity to phone 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
