A 63-year-old man has been arrested in west Belfast in connection with the murder of Jim Donegan outside a school in the area.

Police have also released an evofit of the suspected gunman who targeted Jim Donegan as he waited to collect his 13-year-old son from school.

He was shot eight times as he sat in his red Porsche Panamera, registration JDZ34, on Glen Road on December 4.

PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Pete Montgomery said he hoped someone would recognise the suspected gunman.

“I have released an Evofit image of what the suspected gunman may look like in the hope that someone may have seen this person who murdered Jim and put the lives of countless children at risk. I am appealing to the community to help me put this extremely dangerous individual behind bars."
