AN 80-YEAR-OLD woman has died days after being hit by a car in Co Down.

Jean Obsorne, from Killyleagh, was a pedestrian who was knocked down by a vehicle in Plantation Street in the village on Tuesday.

The Air Ambulance attended the scene and Mrs Osborne was taken to hospital for treatment but died on Friday.

Police have appealed for anyone who was in Plantation Street at around 1.15pm on Tuesday and who witnessed the collision or anyone with dashcam footage to contact officers on 101.

Mrs Osborne's funeral will take place on Tuesday at 2.30pm in Second Killyleagh Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in First Killyleagh Presbyterian Churchyard.
