FIVE fire appliances were dispatched to George Best Belfast City Airport on Monday night after a problem was reported on-board an incoming flight.

The affected flight was reported to be a Flybe flight from Manchester.

A spokeswoman for Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said the appliances and another specialist team were on "standby" for the aircraft landing.

The aircraft landed without incident at about 9.30pm.
