A WOMAN was beaten round the head with a bat or stick while walking to her car.
The attack happened in the Lisnisky Lodge area of Portadown at about 7am on Tuesday.
The victim was first struck on the head from behind. After she fell to the ground, she was struck several more times around the head and body.
Her assailant then left the scene.
The woman was treated in hospital for cuts and bruising.
Police have appealed for information.
