A MAN jumped from a window to escape burglars in Co Down, police have said.
At around 1.45am yesterday, two men wearing hoods and carrying a hammer broke into a house on Old Market Square in Newtownards and assaulted two men and a woman.
A fourth man was taken to hospital after he was injured by jumping from a first floor window to escape the intruders.
Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
