Detectives from PSNI’s Terrorism Investigation Unit have seized a quantity of drugs in west Belfast as part of an operation into dissident republican activity.

Police say the drugs were recovered during a search of a house in the Lagmore Avenue area yesterday.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug.

Detective Inspector Adrian Brown said: “We will continue to target all those involved in terrorist activity as their illegal actions only serve to blight the communities they operate in.”
