POLICE are investigating a report of a sexual assault in Belfast city centre.

PSNI officers and forensics experts yesterday were seen examining a scene in an alleyway behind houses in Little May Street.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault on a female in the Little May Street area of Belfast this morning (Sunday 25 November).

"Enquiries are ongoing.

"There are no further details at this time."
