Two men held following aggravated burglary in east Belfast

Two men aged 23 and 24 were last night being questioned by police

TWO men aged 23 and 24 were last night being questioned by police in connection with an aggravated burglary in east Belfast.

Police received a report a male occupant of a flat in the Templemore Street area had answered a knock to the door and two men entered the property on Wednesday after 9pm.

The pair assaulted the man, who was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Police have appealed for information.
