COMEDIAN Ardal O'Hanlon's documentary about the Irish showbands phenomenon is among the highlights of a new television schedule unveiled by BBC NI.
The channel has revealed its new line-up of comedy, entertainment, drama and factual commissions over the next 12 months as well as some old audience favourites set to return to our screens.
Broadcaster Stephen Nolan will be back with his shows Nolan Live and The Top Table confirmed for the upcoming schedule, with Spotlight, Getaways and Home Ground also among the programmes commissioned once again.
O'Hanlon, who starred in Father Ted, will examine the history and popularity of the Irish showbands era, while historian Dan Cruickshank will tell the story behind iconic First World War memorials in this centenary year.
Sports presenter Clare Balding narrates the series The Horsey Set At Down Royal as cameras enjoy behind the scenes access at Northern Ireland's famous racecourse.
There will also be a behind-the-scenes documentary on the Royal Victoria Hospital, while The Search - NI's Missing Persons meets the Community Rescue Service..
Ahead of the 148th Open at Royal Portrush next summer, former golfer David Feherty will appear on screens in a show about swapping his golf clubs for a life on stage, while actor Colin Morgan narrates the series The Chronicles Of Mourne, bringing the magic of Northern Ireland's renowned mountains to life.
