IRISH language broadcaster TG4 has apologised after a short clip showing a giant kicking a caravan was shown before a news bulletin about a woman who died when her caravan blew off a cliff.
The 'indent' clip, which was shown to promote the channel, was broadcast just before a bulletin on Wednesday night.
It showed a giant walking across land, picking up a caravan and drop-kicking it into the sea.
Swiss tourist Elvira Ferraii died when her caravan was blown off a cliff in Claddaghduff, near Clifden in Co Galway.
She was in the caravan when the tragedy happened in the early hours of Wednesday.
A TG4 spokesman said the clip was immediately removed from its schedule.
"The ident is one of a series of six idents, running since 2013, which are auto scheduled. The ident broadcast once yesterday, and was immediately removed from the schedule," he said.
"TG4 sincerely apologise for the unfortunate scheduling of this ident and any undue stress caused.
"To my knowledge, we have not received any complaints in relation to this."
