Five arrested after 18-year-old man stabbed in Belfast

Five men have been arrested following a stabbing near Belfast city centre

AN 18-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was stabbed close to Belfast city centre last night.

Five men aged 21, 24, 31, 35 and 47 were arrested following the stabbing on Laganbank Road, close to East Bridge Street, at around 11.45pm yesterday.

All five remain in police custody today.

Police appealed to anyone who was on the bridge at East Bridge Street between 11.30pm and 11.45pm, and saw four men running across it, to contact them on 101.
