Young woman who died in Co Tyrone crash 'lit up every room with her smile'

Kyra McKinley died days after a crash in Omagh on Saturday

A WOMAN in her early twenties has died a few days after a two-car crash in Co Tyrone.

Kyra Elizabeth McKinley, from Omagh, died in hospital yesterday after a collision on Deverney Road in the town on Saturday.

The two-car crash happened shortly before 10am.

Police have appealed to anyone who was travelling on Deverney Road around the time of the crash and anyone who may have dash cam footage of the collision to contact them.

Ms McKinley was a former employee of the Silverbirch Hotel in Omagh.

In a tribute to her on the hotel's Facebook page today, staff wrote that she "lit up every room".

"It is with deep sadness that we have learned that we have lost our friend and former colleague Miss Kyra Mc Kinley," it read.

"The Duncan family and team extend our deepest sympathies to our colleagues Glenn, Alex and Kyra's parents Raymond & Valerie for the loss of their beautiful girl.

"She was the sweetest little lady who lit up every room with that gorgeous smile .. Rest in peace."
