Five young people injured when car struck wall in Kilkeel

FIVE young people have been hospitalised after a car struck a wall in Kilkeel in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The Seat Leon collided with the wall on Newry Road and PSNI Inspector Denise Graham said police were alerted at 2.50am.

"The five occupants of the vehicle - three males and two females aged in their teens and early 20s - were all taken to hospital for treatment, four having serious injuries and one male was detained for observation," she said.

Inspector Graham appealed for anyone who saw the red Seat Leon on Newry Road to come forward.
