A main road in south Belfast is to be closed for periods across 10 days to complete a £180,000 resurfacing scheme.

The roadworks along Stranmillis Road between its junctions with Malone Road and Richmond Park will begin tomorrow.

The road will be closed from 9.30am to 4.30pm over 10 consecutive days, with signed diversions in operation.

Department for Infrastructure officials said that although the works have been planned over the summer months when traffic flows are generally lower, motorists should expect delays and allow extra time.
