Money stolen during burglary in Co Down village

Police have appealed for information after a sum of money was stolen during a burglary in Co Down

CASH has been stolen during a burglary at a house in Co Down.

Intruders gained entry to the house in the Ballyrawer Avenue area of the village of Carrowdore, on the Ards peninsula, on Friday.

Police said: "A sum of money was reported stolen. It's believed this occurred sometime between 11am that morning and the time it was reported to us at 1.50pm."

A spokesman appealed for anyone with information or anyone who was in Main Street or Ballyrawer Avenue in Carrowdore to contact officers.
