Downpatrick house fire treated as suspicious

Fire at house in Downpatrick treated as suspicious

A FIRE which damaged a house in Co Down is being treated as suspicious.

The blaze, at a property on John Street in Downpatrick, was reported at around 8.20pm on Saturday.

Detective Sergeant Graeme Connor said: "There were no reports of any injuries as the house was not occupied at the time of the fire, however, damage was caused to the property."

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact officers on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
