A film about two men's record setting golfing journey will be exclusively aired during next weeks Open Championship in Scotland.

Adam Rolston, from Northern Ireland, alongside his caddy Ron Rutland undertook a 1,200 mile journey across Mongolia to create the longest hole in the history of golf, in a bid to raise money for two charities - the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and South African Golf Development Board.

Their 80 day challenge was filmed and turned into a documentary which will be shown during the 147th Open Championship in Carnoustie from July 15 to 22.

The documentary depicts their gruelling challenge to set the record for the longest hole, from the base f Khüiten Peak in western Mongolia, to the 18th green of the MT Bogd golfclub in Ulanbataar.

Throughout his journey, Mr Rolston took 20,093 shots and the loss 135 golf balls along the way.

The duo's efforts have been recognised by the Laureus World Sports Academy for their Best Sporting Moment Award, which acknowledges fair play, sportsmanship and dedication.
