POLICE have uncovered a cannabis factory in Co Armagh.

Officers made the discovery on Monday at a house in the Drumnahavil Road area of Keady, finding in excess of 200 cannabis plants inside.

A man aged in his forties was arrested in connection with the find and later released on bail pending further enquiries.

PSNI chief inspector Barney O'Connor said: "Due to the risks involving electricity abstraction alongside the conditions of the buildings the plants were being harvested in, we are having to move slowly through the site in order to make it safe."

He urged anyone with information to phone police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
