POLICE have named a man who died in a road traffic accident in Castlewellan as 45-year-old Gary Lennon.
Mr Lennon was driving a blue-coloured BMW Series and died as a result of the single-vehicle crash which happened at around 10pm on the Dublin Road last night.
The Dublin Road, from the junction of Burrenreagh Road, Castlewellan, to the junction of Moneyscalp Road is closed this morning.
Police have appealed for information from anyone who was travelling on the road around the time of the incident to contact the police on 101 quoting reference number 1451 of 31/05/18
