A FIRE which damaged a shed and house in Co Down may have been started deliberately.

The blaze, which broke out at around 7.30pm yesterday, spread from an alley at Model Farm estate in Downpatrick to a nearby garden shed.

Flames then spread to the roof of a bungalow. No one is believed to have been injured.

A Fire Service spokesman said police were now investigating the cause of the blaze.

"Early indications would suggest that it was deliberate," he said.
