A stretch of road in north Belfast has been closed due to police receiving a report of a device having been left in the area.

North Queen Street is closed between its junctions with Limestone Road and Mervue Street.

Police said they were alerted to a possible device last night and searches are continuing but nothing untoward has been found.

The PSNI has warned people not to touch any suspicious objects but to ring 101 immediately.
