COLERAINE Rugby Club has been fined after its members verbally abused a female referee last month.
Ulster Rugby fined the club after a home match between Coleraine's senior team and Dromore RFC in the Ulster Rugby Championships on March 10.
It is understood referee Grainne Crabtree was subjected to personal sexist abuse during the match.
A spokesman for Ulster Rugby said it was aware of the abuse.
He added: "This was referred to the IRFU (Ulster Branch) Disciplinary Committee and the club was sanctioned appropriately".
